Movies over the weekend ....

Watched some great movies over the weekend ....

The best being .. 'Leben der Anderen, Das (2006)', which loosely translates to Life of Others ... Human being by nature love keeping tabs on persons nearby ... and this is one trait that distinguishes Bongs all over the world. The story is set in Stasi controlled East Germany and concentrates on the life of an investigator, who is a professional tab-keeper ... amazing pace and direction.

The next one that I saw was our desi nomination for Oscar - VVCs 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard(2007)', so powerful was the acting of Big B that he was presented a Rolls Royce courtesy VVC and co. ... The story was good and kept me busy for some time, nice cameo from Jackie Shroff, good one.

The third one was a thriller, and guess what I love thrillers ... though this wasn't a great shakes ... 'Angel Falls (2007)', a TV drama/thriller ... based on Nora Robert's novel. I loved the breath-taking backdrop, it was so cool, though the ending was predictable and tame. Good drama though and initially kept me glued ...

The last one and predictably a good thriller was 'Bourne Supremacy (2004)', obviously based on Rober Ludlum, my fav author. Amazing plot, and does good justice to the original novel, amazing pace. The small piece in Goa was nicely shot with great details ... though the sequence that I loved most was the one where Bourne escapes from the hotel ...
